Hey guys, just stopping in to let you know that The Jake Music now has an official website: www.thejakemusic.com! I just wanted to say thank you to everyone that's worked with me at any point in time with this music thing. I'm really excited about the website and hope you have a second to check it out. Combining the boom bap stylings of Premo, the old school conciseness of Edan, the jagged drum chops of DOOM, the deep baselines of vintage Rza and the all around creative sampling of DJ Shadow is one way to begin describing up and coming super producer Husky. Hailing from Rochester, NY this enigma first got his start releasing tracks on Ninja Tune sister company Shadow Records (shared by the likes of DJ Krush, DJ Cam etc…) in 2001. Now more than 40 albums deep he has grown tired of relying on record labels to promote his ever evolving radical beat creations, and has taken the much subtler approach of self releasing nearly all of his recordings. His newest production 2010 Rap Up features the vocal eruptions of X-Monsta Island Czars R.A.V.A.G.E. The Meccagodzilla, Monsta X and junclassic as well as hometown heroes Green, SMD, Emoore and other fresh faces such as The Ghetto Vader. Not to mention 34 nail biting original instrumentals. It’s hard to say what’s going on in that head of his sometimes but never the less he seems to enchant his listeners.
